Flowers and Hearts

The challenge at Make My Monday this week is Hearts and Flowers, I used the colours from the toppings choice at Paper Sundaes.  The heart dangles are for 365Cards which is to hang at least two items from string or twine etc (I hope chain counts). There are a few pieces of metal here for Shopping Our Stash (the chain and heart charms I used from my jewellery making stash).  I added vintage lace (which my mum gave me from her old bits and pieces) for Oldie But a Goodie and made it an Anniversary card for Charisma Cardz.  I wanted to add a pearl (another topping for Paper Sundaes) in the flower centre but needed a brad to hold it all together.

Japanese Doll

A black, red and white card for AnnaBelle Stamps and Secret Crafter Saturday, paper pieced for CAS-ual Fridays and using scraps for Repeat Impressions at The House That Stamps Built. Almost everything on this card is scraps except for the card base itself.  The embossed front is a reject from a project where I tried to unsuccessfully punch through two layers of a card base and the rest is made from scraps of paper and cardstock.  This is the first paper piecing I have attempted, which is probably obvious as the only piece on the whole card is crooked.

Aqua Handbag

A blue handbag card with an aqua coloured flower for Less is More, the flowers for Crafty Purple Frog.
I photographed this card last night under the usual fluro light that is above my desk (quick and easy. . . . . make the card then photo the card without having to move out of my chair), then today I set up my Light Studio that I've had for a couple of years (originally to photograph my jewellery) and used it to re-take some card pics. There is quite a lot of difference, especially in colour capture. . . . a lot more true to life, but the original lighting does pick up embossing much better. . . . probably from the shadow cast from the light above.

Pic taken in Light Studio
